At Luminor Aesthetic Clinic, we offer Microneedling—a proven, minimally invasive treatment that stimulates your skin’s natural healing processes to improve texture, reduce scars, and promote a more youthful, radiant complexion.
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, involves using a specialized device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These tiny punctures trigger the body’s natural healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin—two essential components of youthful, healthy skin.
Benefits of Microneedling
Improves skin texture and tone by promoting skin regeneration
Reduces the appearance of scars, including acne and surgical scars
Minimises fine lines and wrinkles
Tightens and firms skin, especially around the jawline and neck
Reduces pore size and promotes smoother, more even skin
Improves skin hydration and radiance
Microneedling is suitable for all skin types and can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, and other areas needing rejuvenation.
What to Expect
Microneedling typically takes 30–45 minutes, depending on the area treated. A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure to ensure comfort. During the treatment, the skin is gently needled, and the device glides over the targeted areas to create controlled micro-injuries.
You may experience mild redness and swelling post-treatment, similar to a light sunburn, which typically resolves within 24–48 hours. The results, including smoother, firmer skin, will begin to appear over several weeks as collagen production accelerates. To achieve optimal results, a series of 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is usually recommended.
Who Is It For?
Microneedling is ideal for individuals seeking to:
Address uneven skin texture, large pores, or rough skin
Improve skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation
Minimise the appearance of acne scars or fine lines
Firm and tighten skin that has lost elasticity
Achieve a natural, radiant glow with minimal downtime
Microneedling offers natural rejuvenation for a wide variety of skin concerns, and the results are gradual, improving over time as collagen is produced and skin texture continues to improve.

After your microneedling treatment, your skin will be in its healing phase, so it's important to follow these aftercare guidelines to maximize results and avoid irritation:
1. Avoid Touching Your Skin
For the first 24 hours, avoid touching your treated skin as much as possible to prevent introducing bacteria or other impurities.
Keep your hands clean and avoid rubbing your face unnecessarily.
2. Keep Skin Hydrated
Moisturize regularly with a gentle, hydrating moisturizer to keep the skin nourished and reduce any dryness or flakiness.
You may also use a calming serum recommended by your practitioner to soothe the skin.
3. Avoid Sun Exposure
Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun post-treatment. For 48–72 hours, avoid direct sun exposure and wear sunscreen with a high SPF (minimum of 30) at all times when going outdoors.
We recommend physical sunscreens (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) for the best protection.
4. No Makeup for 24 Hours
To allow your skin to heal and absorb the benefits of the treatment, avoid wearing makeup for the first 24 hours.
After this period, make sure to use gentle, non-comedogenic makeup products to avoid clogging your pores.
5. Avoid Heat and Intense Exercise
For 48 hours, refrain from activities that cause excessive sweating, such as intense exercise, hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms.
Avoid anything that might cause your skin to overheat or become irritated.
6. Don’t Pick or Scratch
Although your skin may feel slightly rough or flaky after the treatment, it’s essential not to pick or scratch at your skin. Let the natural healing process take its course to avoid scarring.
7. Gentle Cleansing
Use a gentle, hydrating cleanser that is free from harsh chemicals or exfoliating agents. Cleanse your skin gently with your hands—avoid using washcloths or sponges for the first few days.
8. Stay Hydrated
Drinking plenty of water will help your skin maintain its elasticity and promote faster healing.
9. Avoid Exfoliating Products
For 5–7 days after your treatment, refrain from using exfoliating products (such as AHAs, BHAs, or scrubs) to allow your skin to heal and recover without irritation.
10. Follow-Up Appointments
For best results, follow the treatment plan outlined by Dr. Shristi Shah. If necessary, schedule a follow-up appointment to monitor your progress and determine if additional treatments are recommended.

By following these aftercare tips, you’ll help ensure that your skin heals properly and that the benefits of the microneedling treatment continue to improve over time. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at Luminor Aesthetic Clinic.
